The Organic Alternative to Combat Brown Spot of Pear Tree

The Ecoter Organic Farm, in Sant’Alberto Ravenna, is using the Martignani Whirlwind M612 Turbo 2 sprayer with Gibdor sprayer outlet, on soil, to combat BrownSpot of Pear trees. Twice a year, in spring and fall, carrying out ground interventions based on milk enzymes and other herbs.

With this innovative and ORGANIC system, they also distribute lactobacilli effective in treatments against scab in Apple trees and in Peach trees for treatments against monilia, as these living microorganisms fight and destroy fungi.

Martignani sprayers with electrostatic charge distribute the product very well in the soil

One of Ecoter’s managers, agronomist Fabiano Cornacchia, explains that one of the main advantages of using Martignani Low Volume Sprayers for this type of treatment is precisely the low pressure:

“It would not be possible to use a conventional sprayer to perform these BIOLOGICAL treatments, because the high pressure would cause mortality of the microorganisms we use to fight the alternaria fungus.” Cornacchia adds that “Martignani’s electrostatic charge sprayers distribute the product very well in the soil and then, this product penetrates more and more thanks also to moisture and air. For us it is a very effective, nonaggressive technique, and we are very satisfied with it.”
