Mauro Lovato: "Martignani is the Bison of Treatments."

We are in Abruzzo. The sea, mysterious paths, flavors, knowledge, tradition, wild greenery, some of the most beautiful villages in Italy… I would say that the departure is perfect to contextualize an article in which respect for the environment, sustainability and the fight against waste are fundamental.

Mauro Lovato, a friend and longtime customer of Martignani, has 12 hectares of wine grapes in one of the most beautiful areas of Abruzzo, but not only. He has owned, since 1992, a farm that he runs together with his family and an agritourism “La Capezzagna,” which stands on a hillside, where he breathes relaxation, comfort and contact with nature. A facility consisting of two buildings dedicated to hospitality and catering/events. All managed with a great passion for small things, for details, for ties to the land to which one belongs. Cuddles, a good glass of wine by the fireplace and life’s little pleasures make Mauro a distinguished guest.

One of the main goals of the farm “La Capezzagna” is to produce wine grapes of the highest quality. For important wines with a very strong message. For treatments on his 12 hectares of wine, Mauro has always (and only) chosen Martignani. He owns a Whirlwind M612 600-liter Wheeled sprayer purchased in 1992 and today, 29 years later, still uses it.

In all these years it has had to do only minor maintenance and has never had any problems. In fact, regarding the resistance of our electrostatic sprayers, Mauro claims that they are “treatment bison. To stop them, they must be put down” and adds that “beyond the characteristics related to the use for which they were designed, I think it is useful to convey that the machines are made of more than excellent materials. If normal maintenance is observed, the most worn parts have long longevity. I recommend the stainless steel pump that even if poorly treated for over 10 years you forget it is there.”

200 €/hectare annual savings

Usually, Mauro performs treatments in his fields from March to September with a Martignani Low Volume Electrostatic Sprayer.

Analyzing its income statement, and making the comparison with the use of a conventional sprayer, we observe a total savings each year of € 2372.00 divided into:

If we consider this figure and divide it by the number of hectares, Mauro saves 198 €/hectare each year. A sum that corresponds perfectly with what we have always guaranteed thanks to the Martignani Theorem

To conclude, Mauro, who calls Martignani “the bison of treatments,” has paid back the car in 7 years and started saving money, that is, earning more than 2000.00 euros per year.
