How to prevent abiotic diseases

Abiotic diseases (or stresses), are all those caused NOT by a living pathogen, but by an altered environmental or nutritional condition for the normal subsistence conditions of the plant. We talk about light, moisture, soil ph, presence of nutrients, excessive salinity, damage from pollutants or sensitivity to specific phytopharmaceutical treatments

When one or more of these factors undergo alterations from normal, the plant becomes diseased. Symptoms vary in type and severity depending on the factor that caused the disease and its degree of deviation from normal. The damage may be slight, but you may also have the death of the plant and the loss of the entire crop.

What you can do against abiotic diseases

Generally speaking, these diseases cannot be controlled in phytoiatric terms by the use of pesticides. However, with regard to some of these factors, such as sensitivity to specific pesticide treatments or overwatering, theuse of Martignani sprayers reduces their incisiveness compared to a conventional sprayer.

The increased atomization of the pesticide mixture, in fact, reduces large droplets, and consequently also the accumulation of high amounts of pesticide in a small fraction of the leaf surface. The more a phytopharmaceutical accumulates in one spot on the leaf, due to excessive droplets, the more likely it is to go on to create burns on the leaves. In contrast, very micronized and electrostatically charged droplets remain separated and have less risk of product buildup and therefore less risk of burns.

Martignani technology can protect crops while protecting the environment. This means the utmost care in every detail of the treatment. Thanks to the low volume and electrostatic charge, the amount of water and product reaching the leaf is perfect and keeps the right distance from other drops to avoid accumulation or excess product. In this way it is possible to be more effective in preventing abiotic diseases.
